Pincode mapping

Serviceable pincodes and classifications at Delivery → Pincode Mapping.

Delivery → Pincode Mapping (/delivery/pincode) is the serviceable area list. Global master rows can be overridden per company; custom pins you add stay company-only.

Who can open it: users granted Pincode Mapping.

Add or edit a pincode

Look up or add

Area Lookup searches a 6-digit pin and shows district, state, classification, and postal areas. Add Pincode opens a sheet. Save stays disabled until postal lookup succeeds — unknown pins cannot be added.

Set classification

Pick a zone / rate type. New in the classification list creates a custom type (caps input). Status badges: DEFAULT (unchanged master), OVERRIDDEN, CUSTOM.

Import or export

CSV uses Pincode,City,State,Zone. Import is a background job with a page overlay. Export downloads the effective list. Selected rows export through the table checkboxes.

Resetting an override restores the global default for that pin.

If something goes wrong

  • Save disabled: the pin is not in the postal directory.
  • Import skipped rows: not in the global master, or bad format.
  • Last Updated blank on DEFAULT rows: expected — the master has no company update time.
